700 bar cylinder (jack) selection
Enter the total load to lift and how many cylinders will lift it; we calculate the capacity needed per cylinder including the safety margin, and show 700 bar cylinders of that capacity.
How is it calculated?
- Capacity per cylinder = total load × (1 + safety margin) ÷ number of cylinders
- Effective area A (cm²) = F (N) ÷ 700 bar ÷ 10; 1 t ≈ 9,807 N
- If the load is not shared equally between the cylinders, size them for the most heavily loaded point.
The results are for preliminary selection; check the values in the manufacturer's catalogue and your system's conditions separately.
